Where to store your device safely
Although you might make sure that you look after your device right whenever you use it, many people don’t consider how to properly store their device when it isn’t being used. Despite storing when not using it seeming pointless, it’s actually more important than you think.
Here are our tips for storing your device safely.
#1 – Keep upright
Our first tip is the least obvious, but definitely one of the most important.
It’s important that you make sure your device is upright as much as it possibly can be. But why?
As you might have noticed, your device probably has air holes that are there to cool the coils used. If you leave your device on its side, e-liquid can leak out of these holes. Not disastrous, but it does create a mighty big mess.
#2 – Keep out direct sunlight
Direct sunlight and heat can seriously damage your device, so it’s important to make sure that you avoid both of these things when storing your device.
Out of the things that can be damaged by leaving your device in intense heat or direct sunlight, the two you want to worry about most are your battery and e-liquid; both can be severely damaged in heat or direct sunlight.
#3 – Don’t leave plugged in
Trust us, we know that it’s tempting just to leave your device on the charger until you next want to use it. At least that way it will be charged, right?
Although there is some logic behind the above statement, it forgets one thing: batteries are prone to overcharging.
When your battery overcharges, it can result in a range of short-term and long-term consequences; not all of these are major, but it’s better to avoid them altogether.
It’s simple, really. Don’t charge your device for too long, and try to avoid leaving the room for a long period of time when it is on charge.
